Firefox 3.0.8 Fixes Security Hole [Updates]
Mar 27th, 2009 3:02 PM

The folks at Mozilla are pushing out a quick release of Firefox 3.0.8 next week to address a zero-day exploit found in the latest version, according to weblog gHacks. The fix is already on Mozilla’s FTP servers, but folks are generally discouraged from hitting their their FTP server; luckily it looks like 3.0.8 has already been pushed to their release server, so if you can’t wait for a more official security release next week, you should be able to grab the latest from there. Update: Asa Dotzler from Mozilla still says updating from the release servers causes problems for them, despite what their FTP page says. Our apologies, Mozilla folks. [gHacks]
